Bill Ree, award from TPGA

During the TPGA business meeting, the Texas Pecan Growers Association presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Bill Ree, Extension Program Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife, for his 31 years of service to the Texas pecan industry.

Bill Ree will be retiring at the end of August. He has dedicated his life to helping pecan growers combat pests and weevil. As a longtime contributor to “Pecan South,” he has he written countless articles that provided readers with tips and tricks to combat pests in their orchard. Bill Ree plans to remain involved in the industry throughout his retirement. Thank you, Bill, for all that you have done!
