A November Tradition—Pecan Pie
Pecan South reader Corinne Johnston shared her favorite pecan recipe with us a while back. Now, we're sharing it with you. This "Delicious Pecan Pie" is the perfect traditional treat to bring to your family's Thanksgiving celebration.
Delicious Pecan Pie

Makes 1 pie | Cooking 25 mins.
3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped
Beat egg whites until stiff, then add sugar with baking powder.
Fold in graham cracker crumbs, pecans and vanilla. Place in 9-inch glass pie plate. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Let cool.
Slightly flatten. Top with whipped cream. Let stand in the fridge for 24 hours or overnight. Enjoy!
