National Pecan Shellers Association gathers for 2023 Annual Meeting in Austin
The National Pecan Shellers Association (NPSA) gathered in Austin, Texas, for its 2023 Annual Meeting on September 14 and 15 at the Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel. Attendees visited with each other, spoke with exhibitors, and heard from a variety of speakers. The presentations included a keynote on economic trends from Armada Corporate Intelligence and industry updates from NPSA, the National Pecan Federation, and the American Pecan Council. There were also talks on the state of the food service market and other tree nuts’ 2023 crop. During this annual meeting, NPSA also released its annual crop estimate. The NPSA also recognized Dan Zedan with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his years of contributions to the pecan industry. The Association celebrated Zedan at a banquet with his family, friends, and colleagues.
