Around the Industry: WPGA Hosts 2024 Conference

Pecan industry members gathered March 3 to 5 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for the Western Pecan Growers Association’s 58th Annual Conference and Trade Show at the Las Cruces Convention Center. The event kicked off with a BBQ lunch Cookout and Corn Hole Tournament. Attendees visited with vendors in the Trade Show portion of the conference and also listened to various educational presentations. Topics in the educational seminar ranged from stress management resources and stakeholder perceptions of the industry to perfecting irrigation and hedging experiments. The Conference also included the WPGA Banquet and Karin Davidson Pecan Food Fantasy Auction, during which WPGA honored pecan industry members and auctioned off delicious pecan desserts.
