NPSA Hosts Webinar on USDA Proposed Rule on Pecan Grades/Standards

The National Pecan Shellers Association (NPSA) is excited to invite industry members to participate in an upcoming webinar to discuss the recently published USDA proposed rule on revised grades and standards for shelled and inshell pecans. Over the past several years, NPSA has worked closely with the American Pecan Council (APC) and interested grower organizations on providing aligned industry positions to the USDA. As we approach the Dec. 11 deadline to submit comments on the proposed rule, NPSA is providing this webinar for interested parties to learn more about the proposals and ask questions of experts who helped develop the proposals.

The webinar is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET and will feature two industry experts, Dan Zedan of Pecan Grove Farms and Trent Mason of Mason Pecans. An overview of the proposed rule will be presented, and there will be ample time to ask our speakers any questions. We strongly encourage interested groups and individuals to pre-submit questions to NPSA staff to ensure enough time is allotted for the discussion. For the exact webinar link, please get in touch with the NPSA staff.

Please email NPSA Membership and Operations Coordinator Camille Vanasse at cvanasse@ilovepecans.org to submit questions for our speakers or to share any questions or concerns you may have.
