The Pecan Newsletter: Back for Another Harvest Season

Dear Readers,

Fall is fast approaching, and harvest season is here! Once again, the pecan industry is gearing up for the hard work ahead: harvesting, selling, cleaning, shelling, and so much more. This will be my first official witness to harvest. Living in central Texas my whole life, I was very aware that with fall comes pecans. Gathering pecans was something that my family and I looked forward to all year. I’ll be sure to pay extra close attention to the status of the trees, gathering information from you all on how this year’s crop is shaping up.

You can keep up with it with our resource, The Pecan Newsletter. Later in the magazine, I’ve gathered some more information on how Pecan South’s Pecan Newsletter continues to remain a source of confidence and information. We work hard to collect information from September into January about how crops all around the world are doing during this bustling season. With this, you will receive price trends, harvest happenings, and updates throughout the industry.

From California to Florida, Georgia to Argentina, we’re collecting the best of harvester updates from regions currently in harvest to those that finished earlier in the year, such as those in the Southern Hemisphere. These updates are compiled into a clear, easy-to-read, two-page newsletter.

If you are interested in subscribing to the Pecan Newsletter, please visit our website on the Newsletter page – pecansouthmagazine.com/pecan-newsletter – or you can give our office a call at 979-846-3352

If you would like to contribute to the Newsletter by answering any questions, please get in touch with me via email at sarah@tpga.org. When contributing to the Newsletter, all identities are kept completely anonymous.

We are off to another Harvest, let’s see what this one has to bring. Pecan South is here to provide you with reliable information, resources, and staff. Just give us a call!

Best Wishes,
