Dear Readers,

Harvest is in full swing! Growers across Texas, Oklahoma, and the Southeast are shaking trees and bringing in new crop.

During this time, Pecan South is here for you. Our office is always available to provide resources or support, so please reach out. We also aim to help bring a little fun to this year’s harvest through our annual Harvest Photo Contest. We invite you to send photos of your orchard, harvest, or other cover-worthy happenings.

Have you photographed any beautiful moments in your orchard? Enter that photo in the contest! Maybe your photo will grace the cover of our February 2025 issue.

Follow these guidelines to enter your photo to the contest:

Email your photo(s) to pecansouth@tpga.org by Jan. 10, 2025.
Photo must be large enough for print—at least 615×500 pixels or 8.5×10 inches. (Most photos taken on a smartphone meet this size requirement.)
Email should include a caption for the picture, the photographer’s name, and contact information for whoever enters the photo.

And the most important contest guideline? Have fun!
